From Now On

Nine years have passed by since Leslie's departure but the love of his fans is still alive and strong.

LESLIE'S PILLOW IN LOVING MEMORY OF LESLIE

In Hong Kong on April 1st at 6.41 - like every year - about one hundred fans gathered to commemorate and remember Leslie just on the opposite of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel with a sober candlelight vigil. This is our way to remember Leslie on April 1st. Hon Yeung also attended.

At Po Fook Hill Temple in Shatin Japanese fans went to pay homage to Leslie with their beautiful paper cranes and many flowers and gifts. Many fans were there. Kenneth also paid homage with a common friend of Leslie. Florence Chan isn't in Hong Kong today due to her job, but she provided flowers and gifts for Leslie. He especially received iPhone and iPad, which I'm sure he would like them very much.

On the Avenue of Star Red Mission organised special decorations to celebrate Leslie. The exhibition lasted few days. At 8.00 pm they held a big party with many guests, among them George Lam. Many fans attended the event held in Chater Garden, Central Hong Kong and called "I am what I am Leslie Cheung".

The usual beautiful sea of flowers appeared once again at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and at the Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.

Photos are taken from Ming Pao, Apple Daily and Orisun. See more photos and read the articles from the newspapers in Chinese collected on LeslieTong.com.

My dear friend Sonia, webmaster of Leslietango, also commemorate Leslie on April 1st, but - due to some problems occured with the server - she couldn't update her website so it's my pleasure to host her photo here.

During these days at the Hong Kong Culture Centre an exhibition about director Peter Chan with nice memorabilia of Leslie has been held.
