A small polytonal piece from Béla Bartók's
Mikrokosmos, arranged for small big band. Intense.
Il gatto e la volpe[soloist and big band]
An unusual odd time signature doesn't detract from the easy-flowing feel
of this chart. You'll find contrapuntal writing and a
fairy tale atmosphere in this piece, dedicated to two small time
villains. When played right, this chart has big impact.
As Eyes Film Over[light music orchestra (strings etc.)]
A singable bossanova / soft latin piece, watery colors and
a velvety sound, performed by the Metropole Orchestra, conducted
by Vince Mendoza.
Torna a Surriento[big band]

("come back to Sorrento").

Kramer's signature tune, also known as L'orchestra del
cuor.

A humoristic paraphrase of Gorni Kramer's most famous
song, Pippo non lo sa. The tune alternates
between jazz up and medium.
So Long[solo trumpet and big band]
A ballad for solo trumpet and orchestra (big band) with a plaintive
melody. A not-too-easy chart. The recording features Italian trumpet
player Enrico Rava.

A 3-movement modernistic suite about delirium.
Swingin' at Dusk[big band]
A simple big band chart based on F Rhythm changes.

quite as modern as Delirium Tremens.

A medium/slow moody jazz waltz based on vertical modal
harmony. The lyrics are inspired by Jacques Brel.
Pride[atypical ensemble]
Another jazz suite for atypical ensemble featuring a female
voice. This one has two movements.
Blu7[combo]
You guessed right... it's a "city" blues in 7/4,
funky and bouncy.
Pensieri di note[combo]
An uptempo jazz tune with frequent meter changes and an angular
vocalized melody.
Saxy Stuff[sax quartet AATB or SATB]
This lighthearted tune might be used as a short encore
