IL FUTURO SEMPLICE 
(SIMPLE FUTURE)

CON IL FUTURO SEMPLICE SI ESPRIME LA SEMPLICE PREVISIONE DI UN’AZIONE O DI UN FATTO

 

Si forma mediante due ausiliari:

SHALL e WILL + infinito del verbo principale (senza To)

 

SHALL si usa per la prima persona singolare e plurale

WILL si usa per tutte le altre persone (è usato anche per esprimere intenzione o volontà del soggetto)

La forma contratta di SHALL e WILL è ‘LL
Le forme negative sono SHALL NOT (SHAN’T) e WILL NOT (WON’T)

 

Esempi:

Tomorrow I’ll be thirteen years
Domani compirò 13 anni

My uncle will arrive from Canada in two weeks
Mio zio arriverà dal Canada tra due settimane

Where will you spend your holidays next summer?
Dove trascorrerai le tue vacanze la prossima estate?

We promise we’ll come to see you tomorrow
Promettiamo che verremo a trovarti domani

The whole family will leave for London next year
L’intera famiglia partirà per Londra l’anno prossimo

VIENE COMUNEMENTE USATA PER ESPRIMERE INTENZIONE O FORTE PROBABILITÀ NEL FUTURO.

 

LA COSTRUZIONE DELLA FRASE È LA SEGUENTE:
SOGG. + VERBO ESSERE + GOING TO + INFINITO VERBO PRINC. (senza to)

 

Esempi:

He is going to stay at a hotel
Egli ha intenzione di alloggiare in albergo

We are going to leave by car
(Noi) abbiamo intenzione di partire con la macchina

I think he’s going to sell his house
Penso che egli è sul punto di vendere la sua casa

I hope they’re going to play with us

PRESENTE PROGRESSIVO CON SENSO DI FUTURO (PRESENT CONTINUOUS)

È SPESSO USATO PER INDICARE AZIONI PRESTABILITE, GENERALMENTE PER UN PROSSIMO FUTURO

QUESTA FORMA È PARTICOLARMENTE FREQUENTE CON I VERBI DI MOTO (to go, to come, to leave, ecc.) E QUANDO IL SOGGETTO È UNA PERSONA

 

LA COSTRUZIONE DELLA FRASE È LA SEGUENTE:
SOGGETTO +VERBO ESSERE + VERBO PRINCIPALE (SENZA TO) + ING

 

Esempi:
