UndergroundTv was a project that in 2003/2004 involved sudents of Turin high schools in implementing AV programs.

UndergroundTv was aired every Monday at 7.00 PM and could be seen on the Multimedial Channel of Provincia di Torino.

Broward Teen News

BECON (Broward Education Communications Network) and The School Board of Broward County, Florida.

The program is a monthly 30-minute, teen-produced news program featuring teen activities and accomplishments. BTN airs on every cable company in Broward County and also during the school day via BECON.

The program is implemented by the Student News Bureau, which consists of broadcast journalism students from Broward County high schools.

Students may work on segments either at their schools via their television production courses or at BECON. Anchors are taped once a semester either at BECON or on location in Broward County during the regular school day.

RHAM NEWS

RHAM is a regional high school serving the towns of Hebron, Andover, and Marlborough, Connecticut.

It is a 1/2 hour monthly news magazine broadcast on the local cable access channel. Each month 2-student teams of reporters/videographers go out in search of stories of interest to both RHAM students and staff and the general public.

Using interviews, internet research, and videotaped location shots students put together and edit short segments which are incorporated into the larger show. Students take turns hosting the show each month.

1995 : Communications teacher decided to liven up the announcements read on the school’s intercom system. The first studio was a classroom. Students sat behind a small, rather rickety wooden desk and used two handheld microphones, two cameras and VCRs, one stereo, and a digital mixer.

Now ( 2003) seventh-grade students are on the air.

A 14 minutes live show plays live once a week for over the school channel and the students turn it on in the classrooms.

Equipments: 3 DPS velcoitys and 2 Apple final cut to edit, DVD studio pro for DVDs sony cams and panasonic 3 chips; Cannon xL1. We use Glodbal Streams to switch in the studio and a Toaster 2 for multi camera in the field.

. "We do have a daily newscast done by our 5th and 6th graders each morning. It includes the pledge to the flag, school news (Schedule for the day, lunch menu, visitors in the building, etc.), age-appropriate items of national and world news, sports and weather. Sometimes the principal or I appear to make special announcements. The newscast fits into the course of media study our students follow. The school news is televised each morning to all classes in the school.
In addition, we videotape many of our student performances and projects to be televised over a local cable channel."
