ATTACK FROM OPPONENT'S DEFENSE AGAINST THE TRIANGLE CHOKE

{short description of image}1. This move can be used when your opponent tries to block your attempted triangle choke and you can't get his arm across your body to apply the choke.

{short description of image}2. The first part of the move is done by puting your (right arm in this move) arm across the jaw or the throat to create some space as shown.

{short description of image}3. Now reach up with your other hand and grab your ankle while still pressing your arm across his face.

{short description of image}4. Here you will want to reach under your calf with your right hand and pull down.

{short description of image}5. This is a close up of the grip used in the previous picture. You will now want to put your left foot in his hip if it isn't already, and pivot to your right to try and wedge the blade of your right forearm under his jaw on the throat.

{short description of image}6. Now reapply the the lock with your feet.

{short description of image}7. This is a close up of the grip from the previous picture. Notice the grip slightly above the ankle instead of the foot to ensure tightness in the choke.

To finish, pull his head down with your left hand as you raise your hips and squeeze your knees together.
