Want to use something from this site or just link to it? Before
you do, or before you email me to ask permission to do so, please read
the below first. If anything is unclear or unanswered here, you can then
e-mail me and ask.
If you are unsure who the original scanner of a particular image found
on my site is and you would like to know, you can e-mail me and ask. If
you do, please be sure to include the URL (http://...) of the image(s)
The same holds true for WAV files as for image files.
Unless otherwise noted, all WAVs were recorded by me.
Once again the same holds true for MPEG files as for image
files, except...because of the amount of time that was involved in
making them, I'd appreciate it if you gave me credit for recording them
on the page where there appear. All MPEGs on my site were recorded by me.
Want to link to my page? Please go right ahead, there's no need to ask
me permission to do so.
Want me to link to your page? ......I hate to say this but... if it's
a Fushigi Yuugi page, please don't ask me to link to it. I rarely update
my link page anymore so requests to link to other people's pages just end
up making me feel bad when I don't link to them. If you'd like to advertise
your page I suggest submitting it to the following sites:
You may use my romaji and Japanese lyrics on your own pages but because
of the time that was involved in typing them up, if you do use them I'd
appreciate it if you credited me for them along with a link to either my
page or my lyric page.
English translated lyrics
Nope, sorry, you can't use my lyric translations unless you have gotten
permission from me to do so. Instead of re-posting my lyric translations
I'd much rather see people link to my lyric
page. Please read the translation section
for more on my feelings concerning my translations.
Anything you learn from my pages is certainly yours to use as you please
BUT please don't think that means you can plagiarize any of my pages. First
let me say that I prefer seeing people write things up in their own words.
(What point is there for me to read someone else's page if all it is, is
something I already wrote on my site.) However, if for some reason you
simply HAVE to copy something I wrote and paste it into one of your own
pages, PLEASE be sure to credit me for it and include a link to my site.
FY character profiles
Names, ages, birthdays, blood types, family, birthplaces, and interests
I consider very basic info that anyone with a kanji dictionary could translate
so I don't really have a problem with people cutting and pasting that stuff
into their own pages. HOWEVER, the little blurbs on the characters and
the little comments made by Watase Yuu are not so basic. Though I prefer
seeing people write up their own blurbs on the characters, if you absolutely
HAVE to use my translations of them in your own pages then please be sure
to credit me for the translation on the actual page where they appear as
well as put a link to my page. You may want to read the translation
section for more on my feelings concerning my translations.
Non-FY character profiles
Once again, names, ages, birthdays, etc. I consider basic info and don't
have a problem with others using them. However, the blurbs on the characters
were written up by me in my own words. Once again, I'd rather see you write
up your own blurbs on the characters but if for some reason you have to
use mine then please be sure to credit me for writing them as well as put
a link to my page.
Translations are provided for your personal use only! Do not distribute
or post any part of my translations (manga, lyric, novel, or otherwise)
anywhere without my permission and ESPECIALLY not without
giving credit to me! I put a lot of time and effort into my translations
so it's VERY upsetting to me to see people using my translations without
either asking me for permission or giving me credit. If you enjoy my translations
then PLEASE respect my wishes concerning them because every time I see
my translations plagiarized it takes a bit of the fun out of doing them
for me. If I get to the point where I find I'm getting more grief than
fun out of doing them then I will stop posting them.
How to give credit
Something like "Translated by Tasuki
no Miko", "Written by Tasuki
no Miko", "Recorded by Tasuki
no Miko", "Romaji/Japanese lyrics courtesy of Tasuki
no Miko" (You may want to change the link to a more appropriate page
in some cases.) written on the page where the thing in question appears
on your site. Now is that really so hard to do? (Advice: Don't tell me
"yes" otherwise I'll go off on a tirade about all the work I did to begin
with on this stuff that you want to simply cut and paste into your own
page, and you really don't want to hear that.)
Asking permission to use something
You've read all of the above and found that you now need to ask me permission
to use something? E-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
and let me know exactly what you want to use and exactly what you want
to use it for. If I say "no" please don't go and use it anyway.
And most importantly, please be polite. Being rude and/or demanding when
you're asking something of me is a sure way to give your e-mail message
a quick trip to my trash folder.
