Characters of Epotoransu! Mai

Kurahashi Mai

Cheerful, immature, insecure, and not too bright. (A typical Watase heroine) She loves Nimura but is unable to have a normal conversation with him, until...she accidentally types "Epotoransu" into the electronic notebook she got for her 16th birthday and Takuma appears granting her an extra function - the ability to transform into other people.

Nimura Hiroki

Classmate of Mai's. Like Mai he is also cheerful and immature. An ace soccer player and a huge fan of anime (particularly Anpanman and Sailor Moon) and Sentai shows. He loves acting out the characters from his favorite shows (often while wearing a mask of the character) which makes his fellow classmates view him as weird. He loves Shirosaki (and also Sailor Moon's Ami-chan).

Takuma

The VERY hot looking electronics of Mai's electronic notebook. As a being from the electronic world he has no substance. He has the ability to change his appearance to any portrait programmed into the notebook. He is often rather rude to his master but he actually cares for her very deeply. (Why Mai is still after Nimura when she's got this hot looking of a guy around calling her "Master" remains a mystery.)

Shirosaki Haruna

Classmate of Mai's and Nimura's. Though she's very popular with the boys at school due to her beauty, she says she has no interest in men. She comes off somewhat cold and stuck-up.

Aizawa Orie

Transfers to Mai's school in Vol.2. She also has an electronic notebook and has discovered the keyword "Epotoransu". Initially she has her eye on Nimura and pretty much throws herself on him. Naturally this creates a lot of tension between her and Mai in the beginning.

Kate

Another being from the electronic world, she's the electronics of Aizawa's electronic notebook. She gave Aizawa an extra function that allows her to manipulate what people say and to read people's true intentions. She falls for Takuma right away. (To which I say, she's got GOOD taste!)

Kojima Tae

Mai's classmate and best friend. In contrast to Mai, she's the type of character who doesn't hesitate to let others know exactly what she thinks. She is about the only character in this series who isn't somehow involved in a one-sided love relationship.
