Thanks to my brother, we (him, Angel Prism, and myself) got *really* good seats for
the WWF SmackDown event in San Jose on 4/4/2000. The shows aired/will air 4/6/00
(SmackDown on UPN), and 4/9/00 (Sunday Night Heat on the USA Network).
The seats were about 6 rows back from the very front "floor" seats, and since we were in the
front row/center section of the lower level (which is elevated slightly above the floor seats), the
cameras were aiming at our location for pretty much every part of the event.
Anyway, I made a HUGE Decepticon Logo sign, and it was *extremely* visible and recognizable.
During the in-ring rant segments and most matches, the Decepticon logo could be seen when the
camera was zoomed out a little (on the left side of the screen). Usually I had the sign right below
my head, but sometimes I would raise it up high. Early on in the show, I had the sign in just the
right place when the cameras were zoomed in on Vince McMahon's face, and the Decepticon
logo was *right* behind him, practically covering the screen! (I could see the camera view on the
oval TitanTron as I held it.) As you can see, it makes an interesting scene, and is by all means
appropriate for the character of "Vinnie Mac".
There's a little line above the logo that of course says "RAVESTRIKE" (kind of blurry), and the
sign itself "transforms" into a can of "Chef Rock Beef Jabroni" sign, which I held up occasionally
instead of the Decepticon logo. I also held up a smaller sign that says "TAKA" during Taka
Michinoku's match against Dean Malenko.
It's not often that we get anything having to do with Transformers appearing in the mainstream
media anymore, so I was very happy when the logo appeared on TV! Decepticons Forever!!!
