After some very busy months the preparatory work of the supply organization for the burner control device QUAD is finished. During the same time the certification of the product has also been successfully completed at DVGW in Bonn (D)

We want to explain the reasons that made us choose this Notified Body instead of others. DVGW does not actually do tests on the devices to be certified but it collaborates with a network of external laboratories, each with specific skills. QUAD is a product which is within the European Directive 90/396/CEE (Gas Appliance Directive), but it is not a mechanical or hydraulic device !
QUAD is a complex electronic device which uses advanced hi-tech techniques.
For this reason, when choosing DVGW we indicated TÜV Süddeutschland as the lab to test QUAD due to the extended experience in microelectronics.
Such an organisation (internal IQSE department, Institute for Quality and Safety in Electronic) usually tests systems for managing chemical installations and automotive products (ABS, ECS, ETC), lifts, people-transport and life support systems...
The current QUAD has been tested very rigidly; checking the technical literature, you will realize how the remote control system has been enriched with functions for safe operation. A complete simulation of every possible failure has been done for each hardware and software element.
