A.E.A. Associazione Esposti Amianto

Nel 1990, 1992 e 1996 la A.E.A. nazionale grazie all'intervento del gruppo parlamentare verde al Parlamento europeo di Strasburgo, ha portato le proprie ragioni anche in alcune sedute del Consiglio Europeo. In tali occasioni la A.E.A. ha riunito sempre a Strasburgo, i contatti già precedentemente attivati con associazioni contro l'amianto presenti in Francia, Inghilterra, Belgio, Svizzera. Questo scambio di esperienze tra associazioni. diverse per nazionalità, ma molto simili come problematiche ha unito le associazioni stesse in una federazione europea: la Ban Asbestos European Federation (B.A.E.F.).

Nel 1993-94, a seguito di ulteriori contatti avuti con il Brasile, l'America Centrale e gli U.S.A., si è creata una federazione più estesa col nome di Ban Asbestos Network (B.A.N.).
