We are three students of the 2nd B and we love animals. We would like to give you some
information about the risks of extinction of our animal friends. After having made a small
research we reached the conclusion that the tropical rain forest, which houses an
exceptional high number of species, is being destroyed at a very high speed. The biggest
group of species at risk of extinction consists of insects and small invertebrates, most
of whom are probably never studied and classified. Also the bigger animals, like birds and
mammals are in danger. The rain forests are being destroyed little by little, day by day because of the wood cutting planned to make space for cultivated areas. Animals in danger are : the Elephant for his precious tusks, the ivory is very in demand, the Rhinoceros for the precious horn, and the Panda who nutrishes itself only from the bamboo canes. In fact the areas where the bamboo is growing are now being reclaimed; the Koala who lives by eating exclusively leaves and buds of the Eucalyptus massively destroyed. The number of Dragonfly is decreasing at a fast rate because of reclaiming (cleaning ) of the lakes and marsh-lands where they put down their larvae. Furthermore it is in danger the Crocodile because of it's skin which is used to makes shoes, handbags and other articles; the Mink and the Ermine killed for their fur used for numerous stupid coats. What is the major danger-factor for all the animals of the world ? It is the destruction of their natural habitat; in fact the majority of the species in the extinction in the last decade is rather caused to the destruction of their natural environment. Men consider the animal inferior to them and kill without even considering the consequences this fact will have. We think that mankind needs to learn how to use nature more wisely. |

A recent interview in the streets of Varese made it clear that almost every girl knows the "Backstreet Boys" , five boys, real cool, famous as they can be after their second album "Backstreet Back".
The names of our five heroes are: Kevin, the leader of the group,
Howard, called Howie, Brian the werewolf, Alexander the expert and least but not last
Nick, a boy who conquered the hearts of many girls, thanks to his sexy blond hair.
Some of their songs are sweet and melodic and some are rhythmic and wild. All songs are
loved by millions of girls who go crazy for the Boy's unique smiles. They are real artists
as well for their music as for their beauty.
