Sailing Ships are my first love.
I've started my first vessel model when I was 16 and ... never
finish it.
Simply I've chosen the biggest ship I've
found
(Sovereig of the seas) and , having no money to buy the (really)
expensive kit, I start from scratch....
In any case, if you want to start with this
hobby, consider where to display your models: they are very
huge for an apartment, and if you have many
( 3-4 are enough
!) your home can resemble to a marine museum.
My wife know it well !

This vessel can be found in kit form, but is also a good start for scratchbuilders.
Mantua Models sell a complete kit as well just drawings.
Is one of my early models because I like the hull's elegant shape.
