Santa Sangre

SANTA SANGRE were officially born during the summer of '95 from the ashes of the group "Carnival of Fools", a band in which Luca, Maurizio and Mox had all played in at one time or another. With the inclusion of Alex Ragni, Santa Sangre became structured in the traditional line-up of two guitars, bass, drums and voice.

They immediately abandoned the dark berlinian atmospheres of C.O.F. finding inspiration in sounds derived from an imaginary latin cinema, bloody and religious, like the cult movie of Jodorowsky from which they chose their name.

At the end of '95 they were included in the now mythical compilation "Soniche Avventure" on Fridge Records from which the group received wide critical acclaim. Between the end of '96 and the start of '97 the band recorded "Ogni città avrà il tuo nome", their debut album released by Consorzio Produttori Indipendenti.

The album, recorded by Paolo Mauri, coincided with the abandonment of the group by Alex, replaced by the young and talented (archangel) Gabriele.
