The adulation reached almost idolatrous proportions, and when the company traveled to Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo, he received equally generous and demonstrative welcomes.. At Montevideo, he added performances of Aida, and finished his season at Rio de Janeiro in late September.. Following performances of Luisa, Aureliano sang in Lucia di Lammermoor with Toti Dal Monte, Riccardo Stracciari and Pinza after which he left for another season in South America.. On 20 May, at the Colon, he appeared in Aida with Muzio, Flora Perini, Carlo Galeffi and Mansueto Gaudio, and two weeks later he again partnered Dal Monte in Lucia di Lammermoor.. The season in Buenos Aires ended with performances of Alfano’s La Leggenda di Sakuntala, after which the company traveled to Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo.. Padua’s Teatro Verdi mounted Tosca for him, and at La Scala, he sang in Lucia di Lammermoor with Dal Monte.. In 1933 Pertile appeared at Turin in Lohengrin, at Genoa in Lucia di Lammermoor with Dal Monte, at La Scala in Lohengrin with Maria Caniglia, Stignani, Viviani and De Angelis, at Trieste in Andrea Chenier, at Rome in Fedora with Dalla Rizza, again at Genoa in Aida, and at season’s end, at La Scala in Adriana and Aida.. Giovanni Martinellli spoke that day before thousands, including such legends as Toti dal Monte, Giuseppe Lugo, Gino Bechi, Iris Adami Corradetti, Carlo Tagliabue, Benvenuto Franci, and, from London, Eva Turner.

. He returned to Genoa for Rigoletto with Toti Dal Monte and Carlo Galeffi, and the next morning northern Italy read in the newspapers of a triumph not seen since before the beginning of the war.. At Piacenza he repeated the Duke to the Gilda of Dal Monte, after which he travelled to Spain, where, at Bilbao's Teatro Arriaga, he débuted on 7 June as Alfredo to the Violetta of Rosina Storchio.. The breakthrough came on 29 January, when Angelo débuted at the Costanzi of Rome as the Duke with Dal Monte, José Segura-Tallien and Ezio Pinza.. The tour began at Rio de Janeiro and had an extraordinary line-up of artists: Dal Monte, Miura, Rosa Raisa, Gilda Dalla Rizza, Gabriella Besanzoni, Flora Perini, Antonio Cortis, Beniamino Gigli, Giacomo Rimini, Segura-Tallien, Luigi Rossi Morelli and Giulio Cirino.. Minghetti sang in Rigoletto with Dal Monte and Segura Tallien, Madama Butterfly with Miura, L'Oracolo with Miura and Rimini, Mefistofele with Cirino and Lo Schiavo with Raisa, Dal Monte and Rimini.. At Buenos Aires, he added performances of Bohème, Cavalleria Rusticana and Mignon with Besanzoni, Manon Lescaut with Dalla Rizza and Falstaff with Dalla Rizza, Dal Monte, Besanzoni and Rimini.. The tour also visited São Paolo, Rosario, Cordoba and Montevideo during a three month period in which Minghetti sang over fifty times.. He appeared in Tosca with Mercedes Llopart and Rossi Morelli, Falstaff with Dalla Rizza and Taurino Parvis, Rigoletto with Dal Monte, Gianni Schicchi with Madeleine Bugg and Parvis and La Bohème with Carmen Melis and Rossi Morelli.. After performances of Falstaff with Dalla Rizza, Zamboni, Besanzoni and Zalevsky, Angelo travelled to Rosario for La Traviata and to Montevideo for Traviata and Butterfly, all with Dalla Rizza.. The applause which followed these two scenes was truly momentous ....(10 August 1925) The company stayed at Montevideo for two weeks, then journeyed to Rio de Janeiro for a month-long engagement at the Teatro Municipal.
