We show some white visiting-cards from both sides and a ball-point pen with I © Magic written on both sides. We say that the ball-point pen is magic and can print. We beat with it on the cards and what was written on the ball-point pen on both sides disappears coming out printed on all cards on both sides. We show the white ball-point pen on the two sides and all the cards printed on the two sides as well.
We say that we wrote our signature on a card and all of them come out with the signature printed on the two sides. We say that it writes in all colours, for example green (or another forced colour, that is to say seeming to be chosen by chance) but it’s a joke we write the word GREEN. And we show all cards with the word GREEN.
We can repeat with other colours, with the prevision or foretelling of a number or a letter. We give the illusion that what we write on the cards comes out printed on all cards on the two sides. After all we show 6 times everyone different on the two sides. Moreover we say the ball-point pen writes and erases. We beat with the ball-point pen on the cards and all of them will turn white again. On the ball-point pen appears again printed I © Magic on the two sides. We draw a line in a card and we erase it when we pass above with the ball-point pen. We draw a line in the hand and we erase it when we pass above with the ball-point pen edge. We repeat write and erase whenever we write and erase.

4 - RABBITS,
A CLASSIC, WITH INNOVATIVE IDEAS BY SERIP
1 - PRESENTATION
I get onto the stage reading a book: "MAGIC FIRST LESSON …" " HELLO! I’M SERIP I AM 7 YEARS OLD AND I’M LEARNING MAGIC. THIS IS MY FIRST LESSON. WOULD SOMEONE LIKE TO LEARN WITH ME?"
I select an interesting child to get on to the stage to my left and I then ask him to ask his friends what they would like me to materialise. I show the public the rabbit in the book, inviting the public to select the rabbit, creating an atmosphere of complicity.
I invite the child on stage to close his eyes and repeat magic formulae.
I put the rabbit in front of him and invite the public to applause … "FOR A FIRST LESSON THAT WAS NOT BAD AT ALL!"
I give him the rabbit to show it to his friends and then I tell him to show that his hands are empty and that there is nothing up his sleeve. I take the rabbit with my left hand and tell him to keep it in his hands and blow on it with a magic breath so as to make it disappear. When he opens his hands however, he finds two rabbits, papa rabbit and mama rabbit.
I put one in the book with its ears sticking out, take the rabbit from the child’s hands, asking her to show that both her hands and sleeves are empty. I then put the rabbit again the child’s hands and blow to make it disappear. My rabbit disappears and in her hands we find the first pair of rabbits with a lot of little rabbits.
PSYCHOLOGICAL IDEAS
After 30 years working with kids I find this is my best effect to begin magic show for children because it invites their participation, while giving them the idea that even they can learn to make magic. I therefore give them the impression that I am not lying to them. I create an atmosphere of complicity inviting the public to enjoy the show with me, not against me. This is very important not only in shows for children, but also for adults.
