saluto a tutti (?) voi, chissà, magari fra qualche mese avrò
meno impegni e Too Human Project tornerà in attività! Link

wow! è più di un anno che
non aggiornavo questo sito. Ma visto che finalmente sembra
ufficiale, ecco nuove informazioni riguardo a Too Human;

A quanto pare i
come 2° party.
parties.
O forse dobbiamo aspettarci
qualcuno che alla conferenza Nintendo E3 gridi "It can't

Eternal Darkness:
GIO:
When do you think the next consoles will be released?
DD:
I think everyone’s announced 2006, haven’t they?
GIO:
Not officially.
DD:
Oh, I thought they had. If I had to unofficially guess, I
would say 2006, third or fourth quarter. But I don’t know
for sure - it’s just my personal opinion on it. In my eyes,
I think everyone is going to release around the same time.
It’s gong to be an exciting time for hardware launch and
I’m looking forward to it.
GIO:
Are you working on anything for the next Nintendo home
console?
DD:
Next gen? I think it’s pretty hard not to be working on or
thinking about next gen at this point. I’m not going to
say officially either way, but next gen is coming up right
around the corner soon and most developers have their eyes
in that direction.
GIO:
So, do you think Too
Human would be a nice “next” GameCube launch
title?
DD:
I think it would be a pretty cool title in general (laughs).
You dirty dog! I have to say that I haven’t had an
interview in three years where someone hasn’t asked a
question about TH.
GIO:
Well, Space World 2000 was a long time ago.
DD:
It was.
GIO:
You did collaboration and got off easy on one game (laughs),
so at least that one was cake. You have a pretty big staff.
DD:
When the time’s right, we’ll start talking about it.
GIO:
Will you be showing any of your games at E3 this year?
DD:
I can’t talk about E3 yet, it’s too soon, sorry. I know
that’s an excellent answer.
GIO:
Well, I could ask about Eternal
Darkness 2 and the whole prequel or sequel issue but I
don’t think I would get much of an answer out of you.
DD:
Well, it depends on what you ask.
GIO:
What would you like to see the next Eternal
Darkness title to be, a prequel or a sequel?
DD:
The next Eternal
Darkness will expand upon the universe and tell stories
that need to be told and have not been told and explain a
few things that haven’t been explained yet.
GIO:
So, there will be another Eternal
Darkness game someday?
DD:
Some day, we certainly hope so.
interessati all'acquisto.

EGM:
Rumors abound that you're so pleased with this Silicon
Knights-Konami-Nintendo partnership that you're considering
pursing another joint project. Is that true?
DD:
Pursuing an original property together is something that we've
discussed... I don't worry about Silicon Knights losing its
identity as part of this collaboration. Imagine this -- it's
totally hypothetical, of course, but what if the three
groups came together and merged to be one... that would be a
great thing for the industry, wouldn't it? I think that SK
will always be known for its original projects, but as long
as there's room for collaboration, we will pursue it. Konami
and Nintendo are both masters; they're fantastic to work
with. It's hard to turn down an opportunity like that.
EGM:
Generally, when I ask a really busy developer what games he
played in the last year, he says "none, I have no
time." Same with you?
DD:
No! It's my responsibility to know what's out there, so I
play a lot. Currently, I'm playing Final Fantasy Tactics
Advance, and I'm actually also doing FFXI. It's fun. I'm
playing Homeworld 2 on the PC... oh, and Prince of Persia, I
think that's cool. Beyond Good & Evil was neat. I think
those two will hopefully find an audience. The world needs
to be complimented by new franchises as well as older ones.
It's a really terrible thing to see bad games do incredibly
well, like in 2003. In the end of the day, the longevity
will hopefully go to those who are creative. Creatively,
Ubisoft had a great year.

Inoltre vi ricordo che
questo mese uscirà finalmente Metal Gear Solid: The Twin
Snakes (6 Marzo versione USA - 26 Marzo versione PAL),
finale. Sicuramente i SK stanno imparando a sfruttare a
dovere l'hardware Nintendo e siamo ansiosi di vederne i
risultati in Too Human.

riguardo a Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes ed in qualche
risposta fa cenno ai nuovi progetti Silicon Knights.
3) AlbertAaberg asks -
"What do you think is the most important thing you've
learned during this development that you'll use in future
games?"
I would have
to say that by collaborating with Konami we really have
come to understand and appreciate high production value in
games. From this standpoint, we feel that they are
unparalleled in the games industry. We like their style
and believe we have grown by working with them.
In comparing Eternal Darkness to MGS:TS we feel it is like
comparing a foreign film to a Hollywood movie. The content
of ED was strong but people had to give it time to truly
appreciate it. Now, MGS starts off with high cinematic
impact almost right away. We will always stay true to our
roots in story telling and emersion but we will be
cranking it up a notch or two when it comes to production
value in our future games.
39) Qontact asks - "If the
opportunity presented itself to work in this type of
collaboration with Konami, SK, and Kitamura again in the
future, what game would you like to remake?"
That's a
secret sorry. All I can say at this point is that another
collaboration will result in a original title.
Sicuramente i Silicon
Human.

Ieri IGNcube ha
intervistato Perrin Caplan, vice presidente di Nintendo Of
procedono i lavori su Too Human:
IGNcube: How about
Too Human?
Perrin: You know, I
have not checked on that one since I got back to work.

Nelle ultime
interviste a Denis Dyack su Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes.
- 1up: Dyack
Talks Twin Snakes
1UP:
Were you at all disappointed that you'd have to put off your
own projects to do this?
Dyack:
I can't talk about any of those, but no, I wasn't
disappointed at all. I think this title is a great
opportunity for fans, for Nintendo, for Konami, and everyone
that worked together on this. I think the collaboration
itself is very exciting. Kojima's group has some of the best
artists in the world, and being able to work with them is
great.
1UP:
Did you build your own engine for this game?
Dyack:
Well, yes. God, what kind of engine is it? It's a hybrid
engine of
MGS
,
MGS2
,
Eternal Darkness
, parts of new stuff we haven't announced yet. So
yeah, it's a new engine, pretty much. Technically, as an
example, we have a unified pipeline -- it lights the
background and characters at the same time, dynamically. We've
got bump-mapping, shine-mapping, all that stuff, the
realistic shadows. Technologically, it's pretty advanced.
1UP:
Given that games like
Eternal Darkness
, and
Metal Gear
now, have been comparatively linear by game
standards, have you thought about exploring a more
non-linear game design in the future?
Dyack:
If you try to make a game that's totally free-form, people
get lost; it's a navigation problem. There are some people
who like those kinds of games, but it's a very small
percentage. I think, when you're entertaining someone, there
has to be an element of linearity to it -- you have to take
them by the hand and lead them down a path. If you want to
make it totally free-form, there are possibilities with that,
and some games have done it really well, so I'm sure we'll
do it in the future.
With
Eternal Darkness
, we tried to break the story up in a way that it
would be interesting -- we knew that it was linear, but we
wanted it to be interesting in the way that it came together.
A lot of people cite Pulp Fiction as a non-linear film...
- Nintendojo
Special Report Nintendo of Canada Media Conference:
"Lastly, Dyack said
that after MGS just watch out because Silicon Knights has
some incredible work on the way. He said that he’s learned
so much from the creator of Metal Gear and Miyamoto that
their next project is going to be a killer. He wouldn’t
comment if it would be on the next generation of consoles or
this generation."
uscire un titolo dalle enormi potenzialità come Too Human,
- Nintendo
Power Interview:
NP:
If you could make a game based on any book or film, what
would it be?
DD: Hyperion is my
favorite book of all time, but I don't thinkt hat would make
a good game. Um...well, we have something in the works, but
I can't talk about that. It's kind of along the lines you're
talking about, but not really...I don't want to give
anything away.
NP: It's ok, you can
give things away.
DD: Um...Trying to think
here. You know, there's just so much I can't really answer
the question, because if I did I would give too much away. I
strongly believe that if we're going to create an advanced
media, we have to immerse ourselves in absolutely everything.
And to actually take something directly, I don't know if you
could do that. I mean you could, but...I do have some
favorites, but I don't know how well they'll adapt. The
concepts are great, and adapting a concept is a lot
different than adapting a license.
NP:
Anything on Too Human? Sorry, we've got to ask.
DD: I know, I know. Can't
talk about it yet. I promise, when the time comes we'll talk
about it in depth. The time is just not right.
In
qualche collegamento con Too Human.

house interne. Molto interessante la parte in riferimento ai
Silicon Knights:
"NOM UK: What
was it like working with Silicon Knights and Retro? How was
this different to working with Rare?
Miyamoto: The relationship with each of these
companies have been very different. Denis
Dyack is an author. We're working to give him the business
opportunity to make the games that he wants to; to support
him and help him realise his dream. Retro is a
production company so we are thinking how to benefit both
companies. And Rare is an independent company which can make
whatever it wants to make."
ormai oltre 10 anni.

Ultimamente con
l'avvicinarsi dell'uscita di Metal Gear Solid: The Twin
quelle su Too Human e sui ulteriori progetti in sviluppo
negli studi Canadesi. Di seguito le parti più interessanti.
GamePro
Interview:
Game Pro:
What play elements (if any) did you use from Eternal
Darkness and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain in Twin Snakes?
Denis Dyack: We will always use
all of our previous experience in games when we create new
ones. We have learned much from our previous titles and in a
sense will incorporate this knowledge into every new design.
In a sense this is the goal of the collaboration—to bring
everything we have learned into creating a great game for
the gamer to experience.
Game Pro:
What other games would you like to re-make in the same way
as Metal Gear Solid?
Denis Dyack: I would say
Resident Evil but that has already been done. There are many
games that I would like to see this done to but if I were to
say one it would probably be Kid Icarus.
IGNcube
Interview:
IGNcube:
Uh-huh. We're trying to get an idea of how you organized
Silicon Knights at this point. How did you break up the
teams? How big were the teams working on Metal Gear and
other Nintendo projects?
Denis:
But if I tell you the specific numbers you'll then be able
to calculate when the next title is going to come out and [know
more about] the game's I can't talk about.
IGNcube:
We can't calculate that. It would all be speculation, of
course.
Denis:
[More laughter] Well, actually I'm not allowed to talk about
the number of people on the project but I can say that
Silicon Knights is around 72 people.
IGNcube:
Can you elaborate further on what other abilities from Metal
Gear Solid 2 you can now use in Twin Snakes?
Denis:
Whew, there are so many. Well, if it wasn't clear before,
everything you can do in MGS2 you can do in this. So, that
means you can hang off rails, throw people over rails, use a
first-person shooting mode, shoot the guns and different
parts of soldiers bodies. All of the physics from MGS2 are
in place. The ice cubes. If you shoot a bag of flower it
will spill out of the bags. It's all there. It's even more
than that because now the stuff from MGS1 needs more on top
of that. The AI - wow, is totally ramped up. I think it's
safe to say that if you look at the AI from MGS2 then we're
at 2 ½ now.
IGNcube:
Excellent. Okay. We're just about done. But the obvious
question must come: what is Silicon Knights doing next? Come
on! Don't be shy, now.
Denis:
I can't say.
IGNcube:
Sure you can. Go on, let it slip.
Denis:
Let it slip? I'd be dead.
IGNcube:
Do you know what happened to Too Human?
Denis:
Yes, I do! I can't talk about Too
Human. But I do know what happened to it. I'm sorry.
I wish I could talk about things, but I really think it's
appropriate to focus on Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
right now.
IGNcube:
So, uh, is this your last GameCube project?
Denis:
[Smiles] I can't talk about GameCube projects.
IGNcube:
Or are you working on GameCube 2
projects?
Denis:
What's GameCube 2?
IGNcube:
Are you planning for the successor to GameCube?
Denis:
I think there are a lot of people planning for next-gen
right now.
IGNcube:
Are you one of those people?
Denis:
[Pause] Well, we're always planning.
IGNcube:
All right. You're off the hook! But we'll get you yet.
introdotte anche in Too Human.

suoi diretti avversari, vedi PS3 e XBOX2. Visti i precedenti
solito nessuna nuova notizia ufficiale per Too Human
questi altri titoli in sviluppo.

In questi giorni
"Outstanding
Achievement in Character and Story - Eternal Darkness"
I progetti
disponibile l'intervista completa.
