THE GODS
AND THE WORLD

Happy under every aspect,

separated from the irrational spirit and from every corporeal contact,

the spirits that have lived according to virtue

join the gods
and rule with them
the entire world.

But even if nothing of all that were true,

without counting the pleasure and the glory
that from that one they come down
together with a life
lacking anxieties
and without servitude,

the same virtue
would alone be enough
to render happy
all those who chose of living according to virtue
and they were able to do that.
