His symbol appears on his forehead. His mother died when he was 12 years old. After that he took his sick father's place as head of the family and supported the family. He is the picture of a hardship case eldest son. And so is it inevitable that he's a bit cheap with money? He can't abandon people in trouble, even if he has to sacrifice himself to do it he will look after them. (That's why he couldn't neglect stupid Miaka.) He's full of justice. Even if his heart is in pain he won't express it. He fearlessly faces any enemy but he also has an innocent, shy side too.
