  Michel Caillaud, one of the first contributors to Rex Multiplex and Phénix, is celebrating his 50th birthday this year. The Phénix editorial team is delighted to mark this occasion by organising a tourney, in two sections as follows:

The Slovak Chess Composition Organization (SOKŠ) has announced a tourney for neo-strategic twomovers to mark the 70th birthday of Juraj Brabec (born 26th May 1938).
 
 Compositions should display at least three phase change play of Brabec type (two thematical moves, i.e. defences or mates of one phase are separated one by one to other phases, e.g. aA bB - aC(D,B) - bC(D,A) or aA bB - c(d,b)A - c(d,a)B or aA bB - aC(B) - c(a)B).

Any extension to other variations, phases and themes is permitted. There are two sections of the tourney: a) orthodox compositions, b) fairy compositions with any fairy units or/and fairy conditions.

The Macedonian Problemist announces a jubilee tourney to honour the 55th anniversary of the birth of Zivko Janevski (born on 4th August 1953) - the Macedonian Grandmaster for chess composition and one of the leading world composers. The theme is as follows:

H#3 with mutual interference between black line pieces occurring on a square which is not adjacent to the black King. Set play, twins and multiple solutions are allowed, but no zero position, fairy pieces and conditions..
