1999

Basic structure looks complete, a nice engine is standing on the nose, but I feel that a huge amount of work has still to be done…

RR turtledeck and rollover bow being assembled

Making a "hole" for the MAC trim servo in the lower surface of the elevator.

MAC servo ready to work.

Fin foamed

The GPASC engine has arrived, the Diehl accessory case already sent back for mods, as I forgot to order the correct type to fit the five points engine mount.

Trying to set the nose leg square and upright.

The GPASC 2180 engine provisionally bolted to the firewall.

Cut and bend some aluminum thin sheet, and the baffle begins to appear.

However, I had to re-do many pieces, to obtain just a satisfactory fitting.

Revflow carburetor hanging below the engine. I'd have to make some rig to keep it not shaking.

Dashboard braces, and radio rack.

Traverse is stiffened by a ¼" ply brace epoxied to it.

Later I added spruce gussets to each joint.

Dashboard after some more mods, plus some switches an breakers installed and labeled.

Long rectangular opening is for the ICOM A200 transceiver.

At present, no provision for transponder or other luxury toys.

Wing tip roughly shaped with a Surform, then glassed. Superfil being spread over the whole wing. (Just the beginning of a long story of filling and sanding)
