IL SOGGETTO
L'AMX è un velivolo
da attacco al suolo realizzato congiuntamente da Alenia, Aermacchi e dalla
brasiliana Embraer.
Con il ruolo di assaltatore,
fotoricognitore e, nella versione AMX-T come velivolo biposto per addestramento
avanzato operativo, ha sostituito i Fiat G.91R e G.91Y nelle fila della
nostra Aeronautica Militare.
La mancanza di un postbruciatore
e di serie capacità supersoniche limitano il profilo di missione
dello AMX. Questo non ne ha però impedito la partecipazione alle
operazioni NATO in Kosovo nel corso del 1999.
IL MODELLO
Ho assemblato questo kit
in resina della Cunarmodel come campionatura per la stessa ditta produttrice,
aggiungendo solo quei pochi dettagli che erano comunque raccomandati dalle
istruzioni.
Malgrado la realizzazione
completamente artigianale, la costruzione si è dimostrata molto
più semplice che in tanti altri kit industriali ed il risultato
complessivo ha sicuramente ripagato il lungo lavoro di pulizia e rifinitura
di ciascun pezzo dai residui di stampaggio.
Le decal sono state realizzate
in computergrafica, costituendo il prototipo di quelle ora disponibili
come Alpsdecals, sulla base di foto riprese
dal soggetto originale. |
SUBJECT
The AMX is a ground attack
aircraft co-produced by Alenia, Aermacchi and Embraer of Brazil.
Within the Italian Air Force,
AMX replaced the Fiat G.91R and G.91Y in ground support, photo reconnaissance
and, in the two-seat AMX-T variant, in the advanced training roles.
Missing afterburner and
poor supersonic performances are a great limit to the typical mission of
the AMX, by the way this didn't prevent its participation to NATO operations
in Kosovo in 1999.
MODEL
I assembled this Cunarmodel
resin kit as a sample display for the manufacturer, so I added just those
few details recommended in the instruction plans.
In spite of the totally
craft make of parts, the construction has been much easier than for many
other industrial kits and the final result repays for the bore of cleaning
up all parts from flashes and flaws due to the resin casting technique.
Based on pictures taken
from the real thing, decals have been designed with computer and became
the prototype of those now available as Alpsdecals. |
