Mikki is my first "Wegie" and he really was a Cat with a capital C. No cat was so friendly as Mikki when he decided to be that but he had his weak point, too. That is, he couldn't stand other males and even the smell of a male cat could make him very nervous. The first two years of their life Mikki and his seven months younger half-brother Rölli were best friends until one day when they had a terrible fight, probably caused by some stray cat having marked the window frame outside our house. Since that day they hated each other and it was impossible to keep them in the same room. Mikki was also a very hard-working sprayer, so at the age of five years he was neutered immediately when I was sure that Nanna was pregnant. Mikki was an excellent father for this litter taking care of his children and playing with them. Mikki's daughter Bella stayed with us and father and daughter were right from the beginning attached to each other. Totally unexpectedly Mikki became very ill in august 2002 and after one month of continuous veterinary examinations it was at last discovered that he had a malignant tumour in one of the kidneys and a metastasis in the lungs. Unfortunately there was nothing else we could do than put him to sleep.
