April Is The Cruelest Month...

On this earth there's a kind of bird without legs:
it can only keep on flying all its life.
When it's tired, it sleeps in the wind.
The only time it can get on the ground is when it dies.

On Aprir 1st 2001, Mr. Leslie Cheung jumped from the 24th floor of Mandarin Hotel in Hong Kong. He was found in Connaught Road at 6.41 p.m. He died at 7.04 pm at The Queen Mary Hospital.

After planning a whole day of appointments with friends he asked for pen and paper and wrote a shot farewell note which was found on his body among other personal effects.

"Depression. Thank you to all my friends. Thank you Professor Felice Lieh Mak. This year has been tough. I can't stand it anymore. Thank you Mr. Tong. Thank you to my family. Thank you to Fat Sister. I have not done one single bad thing in my life, why does it have to be this way? Leslie."

It is also said his beautiful face hasn't been disfigured by the impact.

There are no words to describe this terrible tragedy. This grief is really too big to bear. No need to say anything else.

In order to avoid speculations and gossip about circumstances which caused this dreadful loss for Leslie's long time companion Mr. Tong, for his family and friends and for all his fans around the world, Leslie's Pillow decided to stop the news updating. After Leslie's death HK media spreaded around the world their so-called news and conjectures by all press agencies. They still continue after his funeral.
