A system that should allow to display selectively the orbits

When some add-on are loaded a lot of objects are available, so when the orbits are displayed literally a chaos appears on the video. A limitation mechanism should be advisable.

Description:

To reduce the number of orbits that are displayed when a lot of objects are available in the simulation a limitation mechanism could be implemented.

Something similar of what is implemented to display selectively labels for galaxies, stars, planets, moons, probes and so on.

A more sophisticated selection should consider that only orbits of some levels of the hierarchy of objects should be displayed.
So for example if the object currently selected is IO setting the level:

• 1 only the orbit of IO around Jupiter is displayed.

• 2 also the orbit of Jupiter around Sun is displayed.

• 3 all the other orbits of objects at the same level of IO are displayed; so all the orbits of the other moons of Jupiter are displayed.

• 4 all the orbits of objects orbiting around IO are displayed.

• 5 all the orbits of all objects orbiting around sun are displayed.

To allow a more clear displaying, different colors for the orbits of the different types could be implemented. So planets orbits should have a color, moons another color etc.
