The possibility to edit data interactively

Is requested the capability to modify the data of the objects and of the bodies directly inside Celestia should be very useful.

Description:

This feature should improve very much the development speed of the new add-on, allowing to modify the characteristics of the new features added to Celestia like Stars, Orbits and xyz paths.

Practically the user should interact with the dat, ssc and xyz data having all the information's editable as fields on the screen. The user should test directly the changes verifying the behavior of the modified objects.

The modified data should be saved directly from Celestia.

This should be possible if the add-on registration is implemented (see FR16), because Celestia should know which is the file that contains the modified object.

Another improvement should be the capability of keeping a backup copy of the modified object that should be used to compare the different behavior and choose the best fitting one, eventually restoring the original data.

This feature should allow to understand better which is the meaning of all the data filed that governs the behavior of the celestial bodies, because the users should interact with the data and experiment the modifications directly.
