Nel campo dei vetri decorati, nella prima metà del '700 operarono a Murano i fratelli Bertolini e Daniele
Miotti.
Non si conoscono gli oggetti decorati dai primi, e invece si sa molto sul secondo perché spesso firmava i suoi pezzi,
alcuni dei quali decorati con fiori e uccellini.
Ma in quel periodo anche un altro muranese ebbe fornace di smalti e si occupò di decorazione su vetro: Zuane Fontanella.
Su una boccetta di vetro trasparente smaltata è stata recentemente scoperta una firma: "Zuane Fontanella fa Muran",
che fa luce su una serie di oggetti attribuiti in genere ai Brussa
Osvaldo Brussa e suo figlio Angelo fecero vetri decorati a smalto tra la fine del '700 e l'inizio dell' 800.
Non firmarono le loro opere, ma in base ad un quadro conservato al Museo del Vetro di Murano si possono attribuire
loro alcuni bicchieri di vetro bianco trasparente di modesta qualità, decorati con fiori e uccelli.
In the field of decorated glass, in the first half of XVIII th century, the brothers Bertolini and Daniele Miotti
were working in Murano. We don't know the decorated objects of the brothers, but we know a lot about Miotti because he often signed his pieces, some of them decorated with flowers and birds.
But in that period also another glass worker of Murano had his factory of enamels and manufactured decorated glass: Zuane Fontanella. Recently upon an enamelled transparent bottle has been discovered the signature: “Zuane Fontanella fa Muran”. It sheds light on some objects usually assigned to the Brussa.
Osvaldo Brussa and his son Angelo made enamelled glass between the end of XVIII th and the beginning of the XIX th century. They didn't signed their pieces, but on basis of a painting kept in the Glass Museum of Murano we can assign to them some white transparent glasses of modest quality, decorated with flowers and birds.
