Il 7 Febbraio 1791 i Censori (la Magistratura alla quale era stato affidato il controllo delle arti vetrarie) ordinava al gastaldo dei vetrai di fornire entro otto giorni l'elenco di tutti i materiali necessari alla costruzione delle fornaci e delle materie prime, minerali o altro, usate. I dati, che i padroni fornirono entro il termine prescritto, ci forniscono interessanti indicazioni sui consumi annui per ognuna delle quattro classi in cui le fornaci erano distinte: soffiati, “quari” e lastre, canna, smalti. On February 7, 1791, the Censori (the judiciary bench responsible for controlling the glassmaking arts) ordered the gastald of glassmakers to supply, within eight days, a list of the materials necessary for building furnaces, including raw materials, minerals and other elements used. The data that the owners supplied within the time prescribed provide us interesting information regarding annual consumption for each of the four types of furnaces: blown glass, quari, sheets, sticks and enamels.
