CLINTON FEARON & Boogie Brown Band 'WHAT A SYSTEM'

Clinton Fearon's 'What a System' is perhaps the best reggae album produced in the USA till now. Undoubtedly, Clinton is one of the
Foundation Musicians in the history of Reggae Music and this wonderful set, realized with his fine 'Boogie Brown' backing band is another astounding chapter of his incredible career. This is the third album produced with his new band and it's a work with such a great
freshness and an energy that its sound is not a perfect reproduction of the roost sound of the Seventies but actually IT IS dat sound. That's incredible, Clinton must have stolen a time machine to travel back in the seventies and record this powerful set. The sound resulted from the work of the mighty Boogie Brown Band is as effective as the best Gladiators' productions.; Basie's lyrics show an ancient, humble but deep wisdom
and his melodies, enriched with strong vocal harmonies, are the perfect vehicle fi dem. The album, recorded in Seattle, has been mixed by another legend, mixing board guru Scientist and, added to the vocal one, presents an entire album of dub mixes by Scientist, which makes this sumptuous double album even more precious. This is a work that can't miss in every decent roots reggae collection. Truly a masterpiece
