The UPLIFTERS   'Burning Bush'

The Uplifters are back, with their rock reggae plunged into deep dub bass lines and with their inventive roots sound merged with rock, jazz and funk. Listening to this album, which follows their debut 'Look out now',  it's clear that their purpose is to make their riddms sound as the most original around. In this way  they create an un-typical kind of reggae, sometimes a bit baroque, but always tasteful. So this is a very nice collection of tunes that keep our interest and attention high during the listening (guessing what they will be up to with the next tune). In addiction here we find  a nice surprise too: 'Follw into shadow', a tune with Elliot Martin of John Brown's Body who, in combination with lead singer David Linhart, gives birth to the best track of this solid collection.
