At last the final Volume of "FY"!!... After it ended
in the magazine I received lots of tearful letters.... I'm putting a thanks
to the fans later... Speaking of ending - the anime. From the very beginning
for a year "Why just Part 1?"...(Double sweat drop) Well, it ended alright!
So I'm glad. I have a lot of minor impressions but as the creator...I was
able to learn a lot and got to know various pros. I think it been quite
a year. Concerning the anime episodes I didn't draw (Keisuke & Tetsuya,
Tatara & Suzuno), I was very happy that people showed so much imagination
and granted my requests of "Could you do it like this". Before production
commenced, feeling a bit intimidated I thought "I shouldn't get my hopes
up" then "my my" (Laugh) In talking with all the staff, the producers (all
of them), the directors, and the voice actors, I knew they really put their
all into it. More and more I think "I should have done that!!" (Laugh)
The color was beautiful too. Chichiri's hair is "wind color"?...Fans of
the original series had various objections, but seeing it completely I'd
have to say "It was good!" I think the intentions of the staff were good.
I don't know the details of what work went into it but I want to give my
thanks to everyone of the staff involved with it. Thank you! It's strange
but after I saw the last episode I spaced out (well, it was like shouting
for the director to take me on as an apprentice...) after coming to myself
I said greatly delighted "The creator of this anime is me?!!" Strange.
I'm happy. Really. Please see it even if you rent it. There'll be an OVA
too! ...What had me worried...was Pierrot-san regretting
animating it...I guess it was OK...
