Now to end the misconception of Watase's gender here. I have to explain to the new readers, I'm a woman. (Laugh) Also, even though I have been specially asked "How old are you?", I'm really young so it's not embarrassing but even though it isn't offensive, I made my debut when I was 18 years old, I was 20 years old when "Shishunki--" was first published, so think it over. Next, "I want to become a manga artist like you" Don't become like me. (Sweat drop) "Lately I've been copying your art too much and now it looks like yours" Isn't that alright? If someday it becomes your own art. Because in the beginning all artists were influenced by someone. Me too. But after your debut it's never good to imitate other artists. * I was a huge fan and was being influenced = just drew unconsciously * It just happened to looked alike * Parody * Reference...... I believe "imitation" is looking the same yet different. If it's the characters, the manga's design, or 1 or 2 of the episodes then the whole thing will become the same. That's not good, is it? But manga is as hard as that, isn't it?

Watase's recent behavior

Having things that exceedingly gave me some trouble, (I'm a novice. Hmf) no matter how many ideas I have that are about the same, I shouldn't adapt them exactly. Only in regard to manga do I become serious and emotional (Because I'm the type who'll sulk at whatever I'm told and inversely gets angry by friends telling me "Get a bit angry!") Aah, I'm still a child. I have shut myself out from the manga artists that I liked and have been influenced by (long ago) for these past 2 years (Well, I don't really read manga but) because I want to shake the influences. (Laugh) I want to draw my own manga after all. B...But I'm not getting good... (Triple sweat drop) And when I put so much into it!!
