Some of the greatest actor ever worked toghether to create one of the most amazing colossals in the history of cinema. Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Bill Murray did an excellent work in this movie, this was surely one of the main reasons for this movie to became a legend, as well as the cartoon series made around this movie's story.
The ghost called Slimer makes there his first appearance and was so funny and acclamated by the public that in the end even a whole cartoon series was made around him.
Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz and Egon Spengler were 3 university students who decided to study paranormal events, which became more and more frequent in New York. The reason? A sumerian God, Goozer, was about to awake and destroy the world, thus the paranormal activity raised like never before and dead people came out of their graves, terrorizing the population. Winston Zeddemore joined the group of scientists and toghether they started to bust ghosts with theyr amazing euipmet: proton packs. This machines produce proton rays that are somehow able to catch ghosts. Once catched, the ghosts are definetely trapped in the ghost trap.
After a few mission the Ghostbusters come face to face with the Sumerian God Goozer. In this occassion they have to merge theyr four proton rays, provoking a great explosion, from which they are miracolously saved.
