One day the 2 were sucked into an ancient book called "The Universe of
the Four Gods" while visisting the library.

Inside the book, Miaka became "Suzaku no Miko",
and fell in love with a young man named Tamahome. Yui on the other hand
became "Seiryuu no Miko" - Miaka's enemy...

Yui, having aquired the magical power to grant
3 wishes from Seiryuu, first wished to seal Suzaku, then wished to seperate
Miaka and Tamahome by sending Miaka back with her to their own world. But
because Tamahome also came with them to the real world, Yui called forth
Nakago from the book. However, Nakago's true goal was world domination.
