D-litter was Melli's first litter. The father of the litter is "Simo" who Melli had already met in almost every cat show during the year before when they both competed for Best-in-Variety in the same color group, becoming European Champions side by side. I didn't believe my eyes when after the three first kittens; a redtabby/white, a browntabby/white and a black/white, the first cream one arrived, because we were quite sure that Simo wouldn't carry dilution colours. However, at three o'clock in the night I found myself with five male kittens of which two creams. Actually there was a third cream, a female, but unfortunately after the five brothers were born, their sister came out dead, suffocated without her sack. The most famous of these kittens has become Dream Cream, aka "Riimi", who, in addition to various BIVs, nominations and Best-in-Shows, was 7th in the Skogkatt of the Year competition in 1997 and later became both European Champion and European Premior. He was still BIV and nominated at the age of nearly 9 years in his (at least so far) last show in February 2004 although his "ample neuter curves" have changed his shape a bit. =) "Riimi" is also the father of FIN*MoonCat's F-litter and thus can also be found in the pedigrees of my both young females Mina and Stella.
