Celestia Feature requests: Group X FR8 Ground Mode for observer |
A special input mode for observer when landed on a body surface. When the observer in landed on a ground location is requested a different observer mode with a limitation in the movement in order to simulate the different behavior caused by gravity.
Description: Having the capability to use ground locations implemented as described in FR5, and the landing as described in FR7 it is necessary to impose to the observer the limitations in movements proper of a ground situation. So the movemen t could follow the surface shape of the body, and the observer could walk on the surface. Its orientation could be calculate by Celestia taking care of the orbit of the body and the coordinates of the ground location. In this ground mode selecting another ground location on the same body, the path followed by the observer during the execution of a goto command should follow the shape of the body.
Required/Suggested: FR5 Ground locations. Collision detection.
