HOW
TO MAKE THE Rikku's Hair Feathers
Needed material:
* 2 pigeon (or other similar bird) feathers of the same length
* A orange synthetic feather duster
* Acrylic yelllow and orange spray or for airbrush paint
* Loctite (super attack) or similar glue
* Nylon fishing line (the thinnest)
Procedure:
Find the pigeon (or other similar bird)
feathers of the same size.
Paint them with acrylic yelllow and orange spray or for airbrush paint
form both sides.
When they are dry, (the paint will make them rigid), soften them with
range paint near the stem of the feather. Try to make soften the color
and no to do a sharp color change.
Also now let dry the paint.
Cut some tufts form the orange synthetic feather duster (better from
the bottom so it's still usable), take the tufts and make them all go
in the same direction put some loctite on them and before it dry fix it
on the feather. Make only end of the feather touch the glue.
Hold tight the whole with a pair of tweezers and let dry.
The tufts should remain stick to the feather but for safety tie them to
the feather with a nylon fishing line. Make some knots and let some
centimeters at the ends of knot for fixing them to Rikku's little
braids.
Arrange the tufts as you prefer (cutting them equal, arranging in a
direction, ecc.) and the feathers are ready to be put on your hair or
wig.
