A Taproom  is a place that since the 6th century represents a typical and distinctive ambient, where you can drink good vine and eat hearty dishes, in the past it used to have a “honky-tonk” reputation......Claudio has now given to this typology of place a new meaning. He has created a restaurant where it is possible to find tipical ligurian dishes, which changes every day,a  place where you can live the spirit of happiness and friendship, getting into the philosophy of the “inn-keeper” ( We call it “the Host”).

Since summer 2003 it is in fact open in Bergeggi ( on the nort west coast of italy close to the french border ) the “Hosteria Borgo San Sebastiano”, which is part of the Residential  compound and just a few metres away from the prestigious Restaurant Claudio. At the "Hosteria" ( a Taproom) you can find a ‘nice vibe’....it is now a location where many spend their evening having dinner  over the summer, with family and friends. Informal but typical. Reflecting the antique ligurian cousine. It is also perfect for business dinners, a meeting and  a congress, since there is a meeting room as well.In this familiar feel you can spend a nice evening eating off a fixed menu’ for only 30€ home-wines included. You’ll get the chance to have typical ligurian dishes such as: Ligurian Veggie Soup, Panissa ( corn flour and water very flat soft bread), “trippe” ( a dish which used to be the main course for dock workers) Fish soup, pesto lasagna etc etc....
This taproom really looks like a typical ligurial old one, old and characteristic looking tables and chairs,....rough paper used as tablecloth, and the typical small vineglass which is called “gotto” in ligurian dialect. Wooden floor and a wide spaces, with large modern glass panel windows as a contrast, from which there is a marvellous view of the underneath coast .There’s also a cave digged into the rock and decorated with tuff bricks, ideal ambient to age cheese. And don't forget about the spettacular terrace during the summer....
