Cifa
S.p.A. is a leader in the production of vehicles,
facilities and systems for prepackaging, transporting,
distributing and pouring concrete.
Dott. Ing. Gianluca Massaccesi was
involved in the design and structural verification of
the new line of pumps for concrete that were being developed
by Cifa.
In order to dimention and optimize the
articolation performance, a kinematic simulation software
was developed. Thanks to this procedure the envolved
rotoidal couplings could be verified according to the
specifications reported in the reference standards.
The
verification procedure based on the science of construction
was supported by verification methodologies based on
the intensive use of finite elements.
With the software I-Deas it was possible to carry out
FEM models of the structurally significative parts,
and then assemblying them in assembly FEM models for
each critical configuration.
Furthermore,
a procedure was developed to facilitate the construction
of the sheet metal parts completely associative to the
base model. This made it possible to quickly introduce
and try the variants of the project which were considered
necessary.
