Scriba Nanotecnologie

Scriba - hologram

Scriba Nanotecnologie S.r.l. develops products for identification, anitcounterfeit and health using nanotechnological processes, materials and devices.

Scriba is a spin-off company generated by the Italian National Research Council (CNR). Scriba started operations in 2005 and is presently owned by the founders (3 senior nanotechnologists) and IMA SpA. The mission of Scriba is the development of nanotech-based solutions for the packaging sector.

Scriba - image elaboration softwareScriba has developed NU-CODE a complete system that uses ultra-miniaturized digital tags for: Identification, Traceability, Anticounterfeit, Security, Quality Control.

NU-CODE is based on a new technology that allows direct optical writing of digital information on holographic substrates (EN-TAG labels). Maximum information density is 30 kBytes/cm2.Scriba - EN-TAG reading kit

EN-TAG is a cost-efficient permanent data storage and a security hologram at the same time. The anti-counterfeit features of the hologram substrate add to the endless capability of encrypting digital keys making the NU-CODE system a very powerful, viable and versatile anti-counterfeit solution.

Scriba - illumination CAD model
We have been called to develop a software system for reading and decoding images on holographic tags with a high density of digital information. Thanks also to the development of an economic but efficient dedicated aiming, illumination and acquisition system, it is now possible to extract information hidden in the images acquired, decode the information, and transform the information into text, images and audio for the user.
