Celestia Feature requests: Group 5 FR29 External cameras |
The capability of viewing the observer from outside. Is requested the capability of setting and controlling a camera placed outside to the observer.
Description: Actually the view generated by Celestia accordingly to the observer position, orientation and FOV is related to a unique camera that should be defined the observer itself.
To allow other features like schematic view (see FR30) is requested the capability of dissociating the camera from the observer. So should be possible to view the observer from outside.
To keep the current Celestia paradigm as explained in FR22 the observer should be represented as a marker that shows its position ant that is not affected by scale factors.
The capability to associate a mesh to the observer is not explicitly requested but should be appreciated by fictional add-on producers.
The external camera should track and be locked to the observer.
