Idromeccanica Bertolini

Since the founding of the company in 1918, the basic philosopy of Idromeccanica Bertolini S.p.A. has been the development, design and manufacture of piston and diaphragm pumps for the application of plant protection in the agricultural field, as well as high pressure piston pumps for the application in the industrial field.

We have been called to verify the fatigue behavior of the pump crankcase and head. The analysis, verified in perfect accordance with the experimental tests, allowed us to rationally optimize new products. In fact, the most stressed zones were located. By reacting on the main project parameters we found the best solutions which were able to guarantee a correct reliability of the components.

By using efficient and rapid structural analysis software, it was possible to collaborate in synergy with the company's technical staff. A big importance was given to the reporting phase, which permitted us to have an immediate and exhaustive sharing of the information deriving from the analysis of the components in virtual working situations. The calculation methodology therefore reduced the number and cost of prototypes for the validation of the projects developed.
