The verification of a dynamic thermofluid system is necessary for a good design of machines and components which involve fluid motion and heat flows, able to influence their performance.

Today, closed analytical formulas capable of describing the motion of fluids for complicated geometries, do not exist. Furthermore, given the large non linearity of the phenomenon involved in the motion of the fluids and their chaotic nature, often even in the presence of geometries, which are relatively simple, the formation of vortical motion makes the motion field estimation possible only by using computerized fluid dynamic techniques.
